MERS/MO Goodwill Industries Retention Specialist in Brentwood, Missouri

Assist individuals with disabilities in the community with maintaining employment. Requires excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills organization, and customer service skills along with experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Essential/Primary Functions

  • Work alongside consumer as needed to assist with meeting employer expectations with regards to task completion and speed

  • Continue to provide training to improve consumer work performance after employer's training period has ended

  • Problem solve to create accommodations or other ways to address performance issues

  • Support consumers to develop and maintain relationships with co-workers and supervisors

  • Develop and maintain natural supports on the job and establish working relationships with the supervisor(s)

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalency required. BS/BA in social work or related field and relevant work experience preferred.

  • Valid drivers license, current auto insurance, and independent transportation required.
