Overview

Aegion Corporation is looking for a Talent Management Specialist to join our team headquartered in Chesterfield, MO.

Responsibilities

The TM Specialist develops, coordinates and implements solutions that aim to attract, develop, and retain an organization's talent pool. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting management in the delivery of talent strategiesin the following areas: new employee onboarding, change management, leadership development, employee development and training, talent assessment, organizational and team effectiveness initiatives. The TM Specialist’s key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Partnering with Human Resources colleagues and the senior leadership team to identify business objectives and potential talent development initiatives.

  • Developing and implementing talent strategies, practices and tools such as:

  • Talent Review and Assessment

  • Succession Planning

  • High Potential Identification and Development

  • Performance Management

  • Team Building

  • Leadership Assessment

  • Employee and Leader Training

  • Research and identify industry talent management best practices

  • Facilitate and provide training to various employee groups in alignment with the overall business needs.

  • Project manage various talent management initiatives, such as career ladders, employee engagement survey process and action planning.

  • Conducts learning and development needs analysis, assess training programs and refine as needed ensuring continuous improvement in L & D offerings.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the new employee orientation program. Serve as the an instructor; may support educating, guiding and coaching other facilitators.

  • Evaluates internal practices by gathering and analyzing data and working with HR Business Partners to identify organizational gaps.

  • Supports learning management system content and delivery including course scheduling, enrollment, attendance tracking, reporting and content management.

  • Identifies and tracks key metrics to determine overall effectiveness of Talent Management initiatives.

  • Develop tools, resources, collateral to support the delivery of talent management initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/Development, Leadership, I/O Psychology, Organizational Effectiveness, or related subjects; Master's degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of relevant organizational development work experience.

  • Consulting and influencing skills to bring multiple stakeholders to agreement and advocacy.

  • Understanding of supporting technology to drive efficient and effective talent management processes.

  • Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills with proven success working on and delivering multiple projects at once.

  • Ability to assume role as project lead.

  • Strong learning orientation and mindset

  • Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills, including establishing and tracking key metrics to determine overall effectiveness.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong ability to effectively navigate, present and connect with virtual audiences

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Requires a high level of service responsiveness to internal customers and partnership with HR colleagues.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment characterized by comfortable furnishings, adequate lighting and ventilation, minimal noise

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of time.
