Job summary

Primary Objective of Position

This position will involve direct training of customers in the usage and application of specific MBS Store Technology Solutions applications and programs. These applications provide cutting edge Point-of-Service technology, e-Commerce, Inventory Management, and Accounting software for the college bookstore industry. Our customer base spans across the nation and into Canada. Training is provided at our MBS Training facilities in Columbia, MO, online via live webinar interactions, and on-site at customer locations.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Trainers develop and maintain course materials for assigned classes.

  • Trainers conduct training in a classic classroom environment as well as on-site at client locations.

  • Trainers develop course materials and present topics for special training sessions as assigned, including but not limited to user forums or group meetings.

  • Trainers develop course materials and present topics for live, customized e-learning programs for clients (via Zoom), some of which may be recorded.

  • Trainers conduct internal classroom training for MBS STS Support Representatives.

  • Trainers may assist with special support projects—from group collaborations to support call assistance—as assigned by the Manager of Customer Education.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Customer Education.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required in field related to business management, education, or a field related to writing/public speaking (English, Marketing, etc).

3+ years training, managing, or supporting software for large scaleoperations.

Excellent verbal and writing skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Has a proven history of superb customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years working in a college bookstore or supporting college bookstore software.

Strong grasp of inventory management systems and accounting principles including retail-based accounting theory.

Experience in public speaking and course material creation/publishing preferred.

Experience with Zoom Video Communications meeting platform preferred.
