High School Intern
Cerner High School Interns are ambitious and eager to gain experience in the rapidly-growing fields of health care and information technology. As a High School Intern, you’ll integrate real project work, team-based placements and group collaboration to ensure you’re developing and deepening real and relevant skills, which will help set the stage for success in school and beyond. You’ll work alongside the experts and will be expected to contribute to the big picture just like any other team member does. Our High School Intern program has potential future career paths into our technical student learner opportunities.
We want to ensure you get the most out of your experience, so please keep in mind that a Cerner High School Internship is a 10-12 week commitment.

Successful completion of the Cerner Scholars Program in 2020-2021 Academic year
Highschool diploma awarded in May 2021
Enrolled in a technical associates or bachelor’s degree beginning Fall 2021
Relocation to the Kansas City metropolitan area for the duration of the internship (temporary housing is not available)
Ability to work 40 hours per week
Active participation in Cerner’s Summer Internship Program
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
