Team Lead | Early Childhood Manager

Job Description:

We are currently hiring for a new Team Lead | Early Childhood Manager at Cerner Kids! As a Team Lead | Early Childhood Manager, you will collaborate and strategize with the Cerner Kids leadership team in design, evaluation and implementation of Cerner Kids policies, procedures, programming, and scheduling. You will collaborate with the center director to determine classroom placement of children and communicate transition information to parents and teachers, as well as develop individuals in your team with the guidance of the center director. In addition, you will instill corporate policies utilizing relationships in HR, AR, and other Cerner organizations. You will handle child issue escalations and develop individualized plans with parents under the guidance of the center director as well. In this role, you will also perform various People Management responsibilities where you will manage routine associate situations, direct the work efforts and results of a team of associates, and develop team goals and manage them for results. In addition, you will develop associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning while promoting diversity and creating a respectful work environment.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:​

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least 1 year of coaching and mentoring work experience

  • At least 5 years of education or early childhood work experience

  • At least 1 year of project management work experience

Preferred:

  • At least 3 years of people management work experience

  • Certified Montessori Teacher

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in education-related field

Expectations:

  • Successful completion of Missouri’s Department of Health and Senior Services Family Care Safety Registry screening and a comprehensive criminal background check

  • Ability to pass occupational health requirements, including medical exams in accordance with state law

  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed

  • Willing to work rotating schedule with four 10-hour days each week

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
