Kelly Services Substitute Paraprofessional for Lees Summit in Lees Summit, Missouri
Numerous Substitute Paraprofessional openings for Lees Summit School District, offering flexible schedule with no nights or weekends and the reward of contributing to community youth! Ideal candidates will possess: ability to adhere to policies, follow verbal and written instructions, remain calm and think clearly in a variety of circumstances, ability to be flexible, and work well with a diverse student population. Training is provided and no prior experience required. Positions pays $11.50 per hour, and other benefits available.
Provide classroom assistance to students and the supervising teacher in the absence of the regular classroom paraprofessional. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assume duties of the regular classroom paraprofessional promptly and in accordance with school rules.
Assist and support the supervising teacher, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefits for students.
Implement existing lesson plans and instructional support activities under the direction and guidance of the supervising teacher.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.
Maintain and/or assist in maintaining classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with Kelly Services, District/School, state, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure adequate supervision of students and classroom environment to assure health, welfare, and safety of students.
Dependent upon assignment, but always under direct supervision of district/school employees, this role may be working in the following settings: special education classroom, traditional education classroom, one-on-one with a student, and/or a small group of students.
High School Diploma or GED
Fingerprint within the last twelve months
Paraprofessional Certificate; request through Missouri Educator Gateway Assessments
Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR)
