Acadia Healthcare Teacher - Behavioral Health Part-Time in Springfield, Missouri


Teach students basic academic, social and other formative skills, through instruction in one or more subjects. Promote mental, social and physical development. MUST have elementary education certification. Some background with special education/behavior disorders a plus.

Other duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Identify educational needs of students and develop formal education plan or program to meet those needs

  • Create lesson plans to teach a subject and teach students how to study or communicate with others.

  • Observe person(s) receiving services to evaluate their educational abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, working with them to improve their abilities and work on their weaknesses.

  • Communicate with family members, counselors, administrators and other teachers on progress.

  • Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside help



  • Bachelors or better in Education

Licenses & Certifications


  • Cert Teacher



  • Teaching with elementary education background. Experience with special education/behavior disorders.
