Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of Undergraduate Programs at Olin Business School. This position is for the Danforth Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: The Academic Advising & Student Affairs Advisor is an integral member of the Undergraduate team that serves as a four-year academic advisor for undergraduate business degree candidates, serves as an advisor to second majors and minors and works with Olin and university students and student organizations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serve as a four-year academic advisor and subject matter expert to approximately 175-200 BSBA degree candidates. 2. Serve as a second major/minor advisor to non-business degree candidates – number will vary. 3. Work with assigned Olin student organizations to help them to develop their leadership skills. 4. Ensure that assigned groups are abiding by all university guidelines. 5. Assist in the delivery of Olin-wide student group leadership trainings and activities. 6. Represent WashU Olin Business School in campus wide student group advising and leadership initiatives. 7. General academic, program, and university support including but not limited to assisting with program initiatives, limited presentations and other university wide initiatives. 8. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree. * Three years of work experience in higher education setting or related role. Preferred Qualifications * Master’s degree in higher education, business, or in a related field. * Experience with advising students. * Experience working with student groups/related organizations. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $44,987 - $57,369 annually.
