As Director, Talent Development you will leverage your passion, innovative spirit, and drive for growth to blend learning & development techniques with top-notch talent strategies. You’ll collaborate across the global organization to envision, prioritize, launch and measure talent development programs that enable our colleagues to learn, grow and thrive in their careers at Perficient. You’ll play an integral role in the development and implementation of tools and resources to enable growth for everyone. In collaboration with People Team leadership, work to translate the current and future needs of the business into talent development strategies and practices that help grow our colleagues, build excellent leaders, and support high performing teams.
Lead the function by building and creating the talent development community of expertise aligned with business and people team strategy.
Lead and manage succession planning processes, including organizational talent reviews and development of key leadership strength in pipelines.
Partner with business leaders to develop a learning strategy aligned to the business; advise senior leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions and strategies, and change efforts on employee learning and development.
Develop programs, training formats, and platforms that are results-driven, creative, innovative, and intuitive using various blended learning methods and delivery methods.
Continuously evaluate opportunities for technology to enable efficiency and effectiveness of training and development programs.
Ensure effective delivery and execution of learning and organizational development initiatives. Develop capabilities of team and/or local subject matter experts who may deliver or facilitate.
Manage talent development projects across the global enterprise, including key stakeholder needs assessment, identifying SMEs, designing and developing curriculum and approach, piloting and launching solutions, and continuously evaluating program effectiveness.
Partner with talent acquisition team to spearhead internal mobility practices and create an internal talent marketplace.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, leading practices and proactively leverage talent development metrics and analytics to inform and guide curriculum decision and designs, always looking to elevate capabilities to the next level.
Create a strategy to maximize talent development adoption throughout the organization, including a vision that embraces diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Model exemplary presentation, instruction, and facilitation skills.
Lead conversations by asking specific questions to uncover valuable insights, leverage keen listening skills to explore and translate what isn’t always spoken, quickly analyze information, distill and prioritize next steps to move the work forward.
Influence change with optimism, perseverance and patience in alignment with the individual and organizational change readiness.
Drive operational excellence of the function, including forecast, capacity management, and project risk management.
8 – 10 years of progressive talent development experience, including leadership in areas of learning, talent, HR, or applicable areas
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
Business acumen: ability to engage with senior business leaders around business strategy, goals, and business outcomes, and make sound business decisions
Continuous learning: model continuous learning for team and organization
Collaboration: work with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner, including the ability to build and maintain critical networks and collaborative relationships.
Excellent facilitation, consultation, and leadership/executive coaching skills
Excellent technical ability (Microsoft office suite and various LMS platforms)
