Project CU, Inc. is an extended employment sheltered workshop incorporated in 1966 with roots going as far back as 1957 when a group of St. Louis parents of adult children with developmental disabilities joined together. The Position The Employment Facilitator is responsible for facilitating employment and training services which provide people who have different abilities, opportunities to work and receive work support as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible. The individual ensures implementation and provision of services required by all Missouri funding sources, as well as compliance with regulatory standards. The Employment Facilitator provides instruction and feedback to certified workers for continuum of personal care and continuous improvement. The incumbent evaluates and documents progress, as well as completes reporting requirements and maintains all required documentation for certified workers. The Employment Facilitator assists the Director with interviewing, training, assigning work, evaluating and recommending discipline for employees. The individual manages the day-to-day operations of the facility and supervision of employees and certified workers assigned to the program in absence of the Director. Key Responsibilities: * Client Relations- Assist certified workers with vocational, personal, social, guardianship or advocacy needs. * Client Employment, Training, Integration- Assist in the coordination of work opportunities to ensure seamless delivery of services to certified workers. * Person-Centered Planning - Work with funder case managers to establish annual personal or service plans, goals and objectives with clients and applicable family/guardians/residential provider/state counselor as required. * Certified Worker Continuum of Care - Maintain certified worker caseload which would include assisting them with vocational, personal, social, guardianship or advocacy needs. * Effective Leadership- Hire, train, and empower team members to effectively oversee their areas of responsibility. Reports to: Director Status & Hours: Full-Time M-F 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Position Requirements * Education: High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field preferred. * Experience: One year of experience with people with Developmental Disabilities plus three years of management/supervisory experience (may be obtained concurrently) with Bachelor’s degree; five+ years of experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities plus three years of management/supervisory experience (may be obtained concurrently) required with High School diploma or GED. * Certifications/Licenses: CPR, 1st Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), QIDP and Direct Support Person (DSP) training provided by the company must be successfully completed within the first 4 months to be certified and annually thereafter for CPR, 1st Aid and CPI to maintain the position. * Pre-Employment Tests: Drug screen. Physical capacity test. * Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. * Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass credit history check. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check. * Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria, maintain valid driver’s license and be 25 or older to drive 15-person capacity van on Company business. Company travel using personal insured vehicle is required. Occasionally drives personal or company vehicle to transport clients for community work or activities or for meetings.
