St. Louis Community College FP - Adjunct Faculty - Accounting in St. Louis, Missouri

Full-Time/Part-Time: Part Time

Duties/Job Description:

Responsible for teaching Accounting courses. Will implement effective learning strategies, deliver high quality instruction, assess student learning, and work closely with full time instructors in this area helping to advise students. Plan and teach courses which fulfill the current curriculum goals and objectives. Prepare a course syllabus, assess student performance, advise students on academic issues and identify and assess students who are in need of additional instruction to successfully complete the course objectives and provide additional instruction to those students as needed. Attend adjunct faculty meetings as scheduled. Interact constructively with full time Business department faculty. Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to market St Louis Community College.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in the subject field or A master’s degree with at least thirty (30) approved graduate semester hours in the subject field and related fields or A bachelor’s degree with major in subject field and two (2) years of full-time college teaching experience, and one (1) year of related full-time work experience or A bachelor’s degree with major in subject field and four (4) years of full-time related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. CPA certification
  2. Experience teaching at a Community College
  3. Two years of paid non-teaching occupational experience in the field of Accounting.
