Xcellent Technology Geospatial Critical Thinking Instructor (TS/SCI) in St. Louis, Missouri

What is critical thinking? What do those two words actually mean? It's one of those things we probably think we already know and understand, but in reality, it is much more than most of us probably realize. The human brain is truly amazing and allows us to think outside the box, draw inferences from data, anticipate events, and so much more!

Xcellent Technology Solutions is looking for a Geospatial Critical Thinking Instructor who is a "unique" thinker who just loves to problem-solve events or issues. The right candidate will take their geospatial analysis expertise and inspire, engage, and prepare analysts on how to take the information / data at hand and dive deeper into thinking by applying their experience, intuition, logic, and creativity --- going being the data at hand. As a Geospatial Critical Thinking Instructor, you will have the experience and knowledge of applying your critical thinking abilities to geospatial analysis; reconstructing intelligence using key techniques and methodologies.


  • Deliver guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories.

  • Conduct assessment strategies in accordance with course design.

  • Teach instructional courses and apply expertise in developing and delivering technical training and educational courses in academic, commercial, government, or industrial organizations.

  • Apply subject matter expertise in the curriculum creation process.


  • Must currently hold an active TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's + 3 years | Bachelor's + 5 years | Master's + 15 years | PhD + 5 years

  • Knowledge of spatial thinking and how it applies to geospatial analysis

  • Experience with cartography

  • Knowledge of spatial bias and error with GEOINT products
