DescriptionThe Learning Center Facilitator position helps Emersons Charles F. Knight Learning Center fulfill its mission, to shape and support the performance of our current and emerging leaders, and to support our Learning and Development practitioners across our global regions.With the support of and reporting to the Corporate Director of Learning, the Facilitator is a contributing member to the design, development, delivery, evaluation, and administration of the Learning Center's evolving portfolio of leadership development workshops. The next organizational level above this role is Training Manager.Workshops are facilitated at the Charles F. Knight Learning Center and at Emerson facilities across North America. There will be occasional overseas travel when required. Key to this position is improving the instructional quality of all our workshops along with the complete learner experience, from the instruction phase of learning through the implementation phase. The Learning Facilitator interacts as a strategic business partner with our business platforms to understand and meet their current and future learning and development needs.The targeted candidate will begin October 1, 2018.ResponsibilitiesRepresent Emersons values of Integrity, Safety and Quality, Support Our People, Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, Collaboration, and Innovation in every interaction.Facilitate workshops that include Emerson-designed and vendor-designed courseware. This includes current and future offerings.Conduct learning-transfer evaluations and activities to drive the success of learning programs and to identify areas of improvement.Train and certify other Emerson facilitators when rolling out new curriculum.Consult with Business Units and individuals on the appropriate development experiences to help achieve their business strategies.Work closely with the Training Coordinator to ensure rapid response to customer requests and to schedule workshops in a timely manner.Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure cost efficiencies and operational excellence.Work closely with the Director of Learning and the Training Managers to create an environment of excellence and continuous improvement.Assist with training vendor and consultant relationships.Additional InformationThis position is in St. Louis, MO., however, other major US cities will be considered. The ability to travel up to 75% is expected.
