Manager, Health Plan Training - Clinical Operations

Position Summary:

The Manager, Health Plan Training will be responsible for managing the design, delivery and evaluation of comprehensive training programs for a focused area within health plan operations. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the daily operations of training staff, evaluating instructor performance and effectiveness, creating pointed and robust assessment tools as well as determining enhancements to training curricula. The individual should have established management experience, exceptional collaboration skills to interact with multi-functional teams, and exhibit sustainable leadership skills to enable the development of a vision.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly and annual training calendar with published quarterly assessment reports

  • Conduct needs analyses and ensure learning and development resources exist or are developed to meet the organization’s training needs

  • Lead training staff in the development of programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organization

  • Plan and manage delivery of trainings via webinar, virtual, and onsite sessions within the scope of available resources

  • Ensure training expectations and timelines are met

  • Coach training specialists in their ability to deliver effective training with repetitive successful outcomes

  • Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards by developing, implementing, and maintaining compliant processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience

  • 5+ years of internal and/or external training experience, including virtual platform training delivery

  • Successful classroom management, including an engaging delivery, meeting learning objectives, effectively handling distractions, and embracing teachable moments

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to communicate succinctly and effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Solid leadership abilities; accomplished at inspiring and motivating others to perform well; readily solicits and accepts feedback from others and is able to build an effective culture

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application as it relates to skills based training content

  • Proven ability to lead the development and execution of effectively facilitate Learning & Development Programs

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage learners throughout trainings and learning opportunities

  • Ability to design, develop and deliver training aligned with business goals and initiatives to drive results in a performance based learning culture

  • Ability to manage and adapt to change and deal with ambiguity
