This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
The laboratory of Dr. Ron Bose performs breast and colon cancer research by focusing on HER2 activating mutations. HER2 is a proto-oncogene and a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the EGFR family. We will develop mouse models to study tumorigenic phenotypes of resulting cancers. Experiments are performed both in vivo in mice and also in vitro in organoid culture. CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing is also being used to target selected genes.
- Ph.D. or master’s degree.
- Four years of experience with mouse genetics and transgenic mice.
- Four years of experience with animal studies.
- Comfort working extensively with mice.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
