This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. This position may require some weekend hours.

Essential Functions
The laboratory studies the novel role of astroviruses in causing neurological and cardiovascular diseases in humans. Specifically, we are interested in using a variety of models to study viral biology, including in cell culture and in mice. We are also analyzing human samples to identify patients infected with this group of viruses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Candidates with prior experience in virology, immunology, molecular biology or related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Superior organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to handle mice.
- Willingness to maintain mouse colony.
- Experience with sterile techniques, RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, western blots, cell culture and immunofluorescence.
Salary Range
Base pay commensurate with experience.
