A Day in the Life
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field clinical educators and customers.
Obtains information needed to prepare training programs; prepares training materials; develops educational content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training.
May utilize trainers with technical expertise.
Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
developing and coaching staff on meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives
providing leadership to staff
ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives
defining performance goals and targets
conducting field rides
guide performance management and employee development efforts
create metrics to manage activities and effectiveness
manage Centers of Excellence and KOL educational efforts
maintaining and creating educational content to aid the efforts of the field team
working closely with sales training and marketing to ensure the appropriate messaging and training is being conducted
assist the sales training department with clinical sales training efforts and hands on equipment efforts
manages team budget
Establishes operational plans and implements policies and strategies. Decisions impact program schedules, customer satisfaction levels, or allocation of time, material resources, expenditures, and funds. May have budget or PL accountability for a department, function or geography. Strive for continuous improvement and consistency in deliverables. Innovation and Complexity: Proposes modifications to functional operating policies and day-to-day processes. Problems and issues faced are complex, difficult, and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations. Uses information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties. May interact on issues that have externally shared objectives.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of training/education experiencewith 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of training/education experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
Training/education in a medical/clinical setting.
Training/education with field sales and clinical teams.
Creating metrics for field clincal team.
Experience working with KOLs.
