American Red Cross Supervisor, Service Delivery Instructors in St Louis, Missouri

We are currently seeking an experienced Training Supervisor with excellent management and coaching skills to develop and support a remote team of instructors.

Job Summary:

Provide guidance and daily supervision to the team supporting the research, design, development, delivery and evaluation of training, tools and resources in support of organizational goals, change initiatives and response efforts. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a team, set prioritizes to ensure work is complete. Supervise staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching and evaluating to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success.2. Contributes to the development and implementation of performance improvement products and services.3. Attain and supervise the human and material resources to support and sustain the efficient delivery of training systems, products and services.4. Oversee development and delivery business systems to include processes, production and staff performance.5. Provide mentoring and operational feedback to team members, internal and external stakeholders.6. Provide guidance and suggestions for performance improvement needs of the organization.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor Degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design, HR, Development or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.Experience: Minimum 3 years related professional experienceManagement Experience: 1 years supervisory or management experienceSkills and Abilities: Professional experience in instructional design, training delivery and project management. Ability to work on a team. Familiarity with design concepts and development processes associated with e-learning. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable software applications.Travel: May require up to 50% business travel.
  • Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to use fingers to grasp, move and manipulate small objects. The employee must use the stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand and understand the speech of another person. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
