Essential Functions

The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis (http://brownschool.wustl.edu) invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor for fall 2018.

The Brown School is a top-ranked school of social work with an exceptional record of leadership in the field, particularly in the areas of evidence-based practice, asset-focused social welfare policy, child protection, approaches to integrated health, productive aging, family violence, poverty, youth development and many more. We offer outstanding MSW, MPH and PhD programs, a master of social policy (MSP) dual-degree, as well as 14 research centers and a long-standing training program in mental health services and addiction. We are committed to a “One School” approach, which integrates the disciplines of social work, social policy and public health to create positive social change through path-breaking research and educational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have an earned doctorate in social work, social policy or a related field with scholarship aimed at social impact; competence to teach at the master’s and PhD levels; and commitment to conducting research at the highest level, including producing scholarly publications, disseminating findings nationally and globally, as well as seeking external funding.
