Director, Learning Performance
As part of Cerner’s Corporate Leadership Development team, the Director, Leadership Performance will lead all aspects of learning strategies to build the organizational capabilities necessary to support business growth and current cultural transformational shifts.
As the leader you will shape short and long-term learning performance strategies, act as the architect and advisor for learning frameworks and programs, evaluate associate, manager, and leader gaps and needs, implement various learning modalities company-wide, design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, and other performance-based training. You will be responsible for enabling and enhancing organizational effectiveness and provide systematic and high impact learning and growth experiences with measurable impact. You will also be responsible for identifying and designing scalable solutions that includes blended approaches to learning, aligns to hybrid workforce strategies, associate behaviors, and action learning, e-learning, coaching cohorts, and classroom. In addition you will solicit feedback and foster a culture of learning to assess program effectiveness and evolving behavioral shifts aligned to achieving business outcomes. You and your team will deliver high impact training that maximizes learner participation, comprehension, and application of the material utilizing technology, interaction, and innovative tactics and develop end-to-end learning academies aligned with business strategies that drives behavioral shifts. You will also cultivate a strong partnership with HR Business Partners and stakeholders to build understanding of business issues, business strategy, how it translates into people strategies, and concrete measures with tracking impact. You will need to be comfortable with both strategy and execution, be hands-on, and lead the transformation of learning performance and execution of continuous development.
The ideal candidate for this job will have strong executive presence, communication skills and energy to lead. Robust project management experience leading large scale complex projects will be critical as you will be managing multiple projects concurrently. You will need to think strategically and identify creative opportunities for improvement. You must be able to inspire enthusiasm and motivate a team through a proven track record of leading, developing and mentoring people. Being able to negotiate, influence and navigate ambiguous situations are paramount.

Master’s degree in Organization Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 7 years of learning development, leadership development, talent, or organizational effectiveness experience
At least 10 years of learning development, leadership development, talent, organizational effectiveness experience
Executive coaching experience
Learning Management Systems, Instructional design, and learning technologies experience
Strong project management experience, leading large-scale cultural change and complex projects
Learning and development design experience and building programs at the enterprise level
People management and training experience
Currently resides in the Kansas City metro area or in a virtual city within 60 miles of a major airport
Ability to travel at least 25%
Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines
Proven ability to independently learn new technologies
Understanding of adult learning theory
Ability to build architecture and strategically solve business needs
