We are looking for full-time instructors for evenings and weekends to support a busy flight school.Alpha Air Center is seeking professional instructors dedicated to engaging with their students and providing excellent standards of learning and adherence to safety. We fly Piper Warrior and Piper Arrow aircraft. Instrument and Multi-Engine instructors preferred, but not required. iDiscounts on aircraft rental as well as advanced ratings available.i There is also potential to gain Part 135 charter experience and highly sought-after complex and turbine time. Our flight school staff consists of highly trained, seasoned professionals who will also serve as mentors for this position and provide the structure for you to succeed in your aviation career.Job Tasks and Responsibilities:iiiiiiiii Conducts Instructional flights with flight students/pilots.iiiiiiiii Demonstrates, observes, and evaluates students/ pilotsi ability to perform flight maneuvers required for FAA Pilot Certificates and Ratings.iiiiiiiii Supervises solo flight training of assigned student/ pilots.iiiiiiiii Evaluates student /pilotis knowledge and proficiency.iiiiiiiii Maintains appropriate student training records in accordance with policies covering course completion and grading.iiiiiiiii Responsible for compliance and enforcement of School Safety Procedures and Practices.iiiiiiiii Maintain high standards of professionalism with a focus on the discipline of safety at all times.Job Requirements:Knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics:iiiiiiiii Teachable, always learning and constantly improving.iiiiiiiii Knowledge of various flight instruction instrumentation and equipment.iiiiiiiii Interpersonal/human relations skills.iiiiiiiii Verbal and written communication skills.iiiiiiiii Ability to instruct/teach/tutor.iiiiiiiii Must have a good working knowledge of the FAR/AIM, ACS, PTS, FAA Publications, and be able to incorporate them into scenario- based training scenarios.iiiiiiiii Ability to approach problems/decisions analytically.iiiiiiiii Ability to perform under stressful circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.iiiiiiiii Detail-oriented and self-motivated with an ownership mentality and ability to meet deadlines.iiiiiiiii Excellent organization and multitasking skills.iiiiiiiii Excellent customer service skillsQualifications:iiiiiiiii Must hold a current FAA Second Class (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate.iiiiiiiii Commercial Pilot ASEL Certificate.
