Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a Instructor / Flight Simulation Trainer to join our B-2 training team at Whiteman AFB, MO. The qualified applicant can become part of Northrop Grumman's Aircrew Training team tasked with instructing B-2 aircrew in the classroom and in aircrew trainers. The classroom and training device instruction supports B-2 pilot initial qualification (IQT), requalification (RQT), basic qualification (BQT) and continuation training. The position will develop subject matter expertise in B-2 aircraft systems and employment procedures. He/she will plan, validate, and verify training missions for the weapon system trainer (WST) and cockpit procedures trainer (CPT). Assist the Mission/Exercise facilitators in the brief/debrief station for individual and federated missions. Prepare DMO missions and support DMO training exercises. Develop, review, revise, and evaluate courseware and training materials, including all CPT lessons. Perform administrative activities, to include scheduling and recording training.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in education, computer, technical or related field of study and 15 years of directly related work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years knowledge and/or work experience with regulations, instructions, procedures, technical orders, and other publications applicable to aircrew is required

  • The ability to operate the WST instructor operator station (IOS) and facilitate simulator missions is required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in curriculum and Instructional System Development (ISD) is required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with computer based authoring systems (i.e. Microsoft Office Professional software suite or Adobe Captivate)

  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret level security clearance is required

  • The ability to meet/maintain eligibility for Top Secret and special access programs is required for continued employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Top Secret DOD clearance

  • Former B-2 pilot or previous experience in the B-2 weapon system

  • Six years minimum of instruction and training development experience, total flying time of 2000 hours or greater

  • Experience in mission planning/STRIKEOPS, experience in developing computer based instruction, and an in-depth experience in mission planning/STRIKEOPS

  • Platform instructor experience and completion of a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction instructor training course is a plus.

  • Graduate of the Advanced Instrument School in order to instruct the Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) is a plus
